back to school

This summer I spent a lot of time thinking about better ways to utilize the revolutionary technology that will soon land on my students' desks. The main things I learned about were iGoogle and iLife through some excellent Punahou workshops. I was also moved by my experiences this year attending the Kokua Festival and watching the Live Earth concerts in July.

The Life Earth event focused on very small ideas and changes; bite sized chunks. I find that works well for me, and I expect it will for my students. With technology, people often need to know one small skill to complete the task in front of them. Baby steps, in the right direction.

Global education + sustainability = our children's future

Even though it's impossible, it's good to continually try to envision the world our children will live in as adults.
